Frequently Asked Questions
Is BestAITools really free to list on?
Yes, $0, forever. No credit card, no trial, no catch. Pro is optional, for founders who don't want to wait weeks to get discovered and looking for maximum visibility.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free works, but with wait for 15–25 day queue and a badge requirement to stay listed. Pro gets you live in 24–48 hours, drops the badge requirement permanently, and adds homepage placement, priority search/AI visibility, guaranteed newsletter spots, and analytics — all for a one-time $4.99.
Why does the Free listing require the BestAITools badge?
The badge is what lets us keep Free actually free — it verifies real submissions and sends discovery traffic back our way. Pro listings skip it entirely because the one-time fee covers that cost directly, so there's nothing to install or maintain.
Where should I place the badge on my site?
Anywhere on the homepage, most founders use the footer near other trust badges or social links. We check for it during review. (Pro listings never need to worry about this.)
What happens if I remove the badge after my Free listing goes live?
Your listing's visibility is tied to the badge staying installed — remove it, and it can be taken down at the next review pass. Pro listings don't carry that risk: once live, they're permanent, badge or no badge.
How long does it take to get published?
Free listings can go live in 15–25 days, reviewed in the order they arrive or can be rejected. Pro skips the line entirely — live in 24–48 hours, no badge needed. If timing & visibility matters for your launch, this is the difference that matters most.
Is the $4.99 Pro listing a one-time payment or a subscription?
One-time, period. Pay once, and your listing stays live permanently — no recurring charge, nothing to cancel later.
Can I upgrade from Free to Pro later?
Anytime. Your existing listing is kept exactly as-is and simply moved into the fast, badge-free queue, no need to resubmit from scratch.
What's included in the newsletter placement?
Free gets a possible mention, as space allows — not guaranteed. Pro guarantees a spot across 3 issues, reaching our full 50,000+ subscriber list.
Do you offer refunds on Pro?
Yes — if your tool is rejected and never goes live, you get a full refund, no questions asked. Once published, it's non-refundable, since by then the placement, backlink, and traffic have already been delivered.
